For actuation, hydraulic operation is employed, utilizing the water pressure in the pipeline to automatically move the main valve disc up and down, controlling the valve opening to regulate downstream pressure, maintaining it at the set pressure value of the pilot spring. When the downstream pressure exceeds the set value, the pressure reducing valve will automatically close, ensuring stable outlet pressure P2 regardless of fluctuations in inlet pressure P1. Regardless of changes in downstream flow, the outlet pressure P2 remains stable at the pilot set value. The outlet pressure has a wide adjustment range, operates smoothly, and does not experience water hammer impact.

Structural form
The valve is composed of main valve, pilot valve, needle valve, ball valve, pressure gauge, external control pipeline and so on. Because the pilot valve, needle valve and pressure gauge are connected to the main valve by guide pipe, they are collectively referred to as guide pipe control system, as shown in the figure:

Installation and adjustment
1. The best installation mode of the main valve is horizontal and horizontal installation. Before installation, all debris in the pipeline should be completely removed. Pay attention to the water flow marking arrow on the outside of the main valve body and follow the direction of installation. After installation, it should be ensured that no pipeline stress is applied to the valve body and internal components.
2. A butterfly valve (gate valve) and a filter should be installed in front of the main valve, and a butterfly valve (gate valve) should also be installed in front of the main valve for easy maintenance.
3. The pipeline system must be thoroughly flushed before water is supplied.
4. A bypass valve should be installed for important water supply pipelines.
5. Debugging method:
1) Close the upstream isolation valve, open the downstream isolation valve to relieve pressure, and reduce the downstream pressure to below 0.1Mpa, then close the downstream isolation valve;
2) Open the needle valve (13) and ball valve (19) on the control tube.
3) Adjust the control valve (16) screw to the top position (rotate counterclockwise);
4) Slowly open the upstream isolation valve to full opening;
5) Slowly turn the guide valve adjustment screw downward (clockwise), the outlet pressure will gradually increase until the set value is adjusted and the adjustment screw is locked.
6) If the pressure is adjusted too much, it must be readjusted from step 3, that is, only from low pressure to high pressure.
