Product Description

This valve is mainly used for industrial circulating water supply and drainage, urban water supply and drainage, high-rise buildings and hotels pressurized water transmission.At the pump's outlet, measures are taken to prevent back flow and eliminate destructive water hammer, ensuring the safe operation of the pipeline network. The design fully considers the requirements of the usage environment, achieving vibration-free and noiseless operation, stable running, ensuring a quiet environment for hotels, residences, and other facilities, while also featuring energy-saving functions. For easy installation, there are two options: vertical and horizontal mounting, available for selection.

  1. Energy saving: because the valve plate adopts light structure (rubber and metal combination structure), there is a balance hammer, local resistance small force, large opening. Compared with rotary check valve, it can save 15~25 degrees of electricity for every thousand tons of water conveyed.
  2. Limit and eliminate destructive water hammer: because the valve closing system adopts a post-closing damping mechanism, it is used to delay the slow closing method makes the local backflow water to leak into the system. The valve plate follows the principle of fast closing and slow closing, so as to greatly reduce the water pressure impact force during the pump stopback and eliminate the generation of destructive water hammer peak.
  3. It has long service life and is wear-resistant. Compared with rotary check valve, its service life is increased by 5~7 times
  4. The shut-off performance is good. The rubber soft seal is between the check port and the valve plate.
  5. Smooth operation, no vibration, low noise.
  6. Low maintenance cost. Compared with the rotary check valve, the maintenance cost is reduced by 80%.
2. Working principle and debugging method
  1. This check valve is mainly composed of valve body, valve cover, valve plate assembly, balance hammer, piston assembly and needle type regulating valve.
When the pump is started, the pressure of the medium at the inlet of the valve acts on the pressure water to enter the piston chamber through the drainage conduit
Inside, the piston is extended to work with the flow medium to open the valve plate, while the piston part is pre-positioned to balance the hammer over the highest point, thus ensuring the maximum opening of the valve plate and preventing it from swinging up and down.
When the water flow stops (the pump is shut down), the valve plate falls freely due to its own weight and closes. However, because the piston is in the extended position and pushes against the valve plate, the valve plate cannot be fully closed, leaving about 1/5 of the opening gap. Thus, the medium can pass through, reducing the peak pressure of water hammer and limiting the occurrence of destructive water hammer.
The valve plate presses against the end of the piston. The water in the piston chamber hinders the rapid retraction of the piston, preventing the valve plate from closing. At this point, under the pressure of the medium acting on the opposite side, the valve plate pushes the piston backward. With the piston's push, the medium inside the piston returns to the system through the control valve, and the piston slowly returns to its original position. The valve plate ultimately closes completely.
  1. Adjust the opening of the valve plate slowly

The length of the piston extension and the size of the valve opening control the capacity in the piston chamber and the duration of the valve plate closure delay time. The large opening of the slow closing opens up the water discharge time and the water hammer is small; conversely, the small opening of the slow closing opens up the water discharge time and the water hammer may be large. Therefore, in the structure of the slow closing opening regulator, the piston extension length is controlled by a pull rod.
When starting the debugging, extend the piston to two-thirds of its total length (the length of the rod retracted is the total length of the piston), then stop the pump and check the size of the water hammer and whether the valve plate can close. A large water hammer indicates a small opening; if the valve plate closes too slowly, it suggests that the piston has been extended too far. After adjusting to the ideal opening, use the adjustment nut to secure the rod and determine the length of the piston extension. It should be noted that the adjustment of the piston's extension length is closely related to the water supply pressure, water delivery distance, relative height difference, and other operating conditions, which are directly proportional. Additionally, the duration of the slow-closing time can also be controlled by adjusting the opening degree of the needle valve, which can be set between 5 to 60 seconds or longer.

Installation Instructions
 
  1. Install in the pipe in the direction indicated by the arrow.
  2. Check whether all accessories are complete and smooth.
  3. Check whether the valve stem and valve plate move flexibly, and whether the piston can be pushed out when the water pressure reaches 0.19Mpa, If it has been launched, the pull rod for adjustment should be fully tightened.
  4. Install the balance hammer, keep the valve plate and the balance hammer in balance, so that the valve plate is in a certain free opening position place.
  5. Adjust the slow closing opening according to (2) in item 2.
  6. If the connection is found to have jet or leakage, replace the "O" ring in the corresponding part in time.
  7. After the pump is started to deliver water, it must reach the normal water delivery before stopping the pump for observation and debugging.
  8. If there is still leakage after the valve plate is closed, check whether the piston has been retracted to the position. If not,Open the exhaust valve to drain water and make the piston retract to the right place, and adjust the piston extension length appropriately.
  9. When the water pressure in the system is below 0.2MPa, it is allowed not to act as a slow closing. At this time, the piston should be pulled by a rod.Fix it to the retracted position and close the regulating valve on the water pipe.
  10.  A comprehensive inspection should be carried out every half year or when it is shut down for more than one month.
  11. This product can be installed vertically without affecting the use effect (the safety measures of installing a balance hammer should be installed).
  12. How to adjust the valve plate closing time, mainly by using a small amount of adjustment to open size to achieve the piston extension. If the valve is opened wide, the valve plate closes slowly and quickly; if it is opened small, the valve plate closes slowly.
